Eight years ago, I began a journey with a historical western series called Devils of Horseback about a group of five men who had to reinvent themselves after the horror of war. The books are full of emotions, humor, grit, a bit of violence, smexy times, and of course, happily ever afters.
After the last of five books was published, I moved onto different series. The devils, however, called me back. They reminded me they were there, ready to be reborn, a solstice of the series.
I restarted the legacy of my five beloved devils and rebuilt their world in Tanger with their children and the Devils on Horseback Generations series. This was a labor of love y’all. The emotional intensity of the devils owned a piece of my heart, and always will. When I decided to write about their children, it was as though something had fallen into place. It felt right.
The first book in the Generations series, Adam, releases on December 22. Readers will get to know this wonderful man, and also meet the original devils and their families. It’s a homecoming of sorts, readers can find out how they’re doing and reconnect like old friends. The town, Tanger, was an invention, a combination of all the wonderful places I’ve visited in Texas rolled into one. It’s the place where the devils were reborn.
As for Adam, Jake Sheridan’s redheaded son, he meets the woman who will turn his life inside out – Eve. Yes, I did name her Eve. How could I not? First book, rebirth, restart, why not Adam and Eve? 🙂
Eve is not what she seems, and Adam is trapped in a world he doesn’t want. Their mistakes, and their growing love, remind us all to look beyond what we see. And to always be prepared for the next hard right turn because you never know what life is going to throw at you.
To celebrate the reboot of my beloved Devils on Horseback with the *new* Generations and Millennium (contemporary novellas) series, the original 5 have *new* covers and rereleased in December as ebooks.
Ride with the Devils again!
