I have been swarmed with deadlines, but I called in some amazing friends to help me out this week’s post. They are going to share three Swoon-Worthy heroes they fell for, and I hope you’ll fall too!
First up is the lovely Elizabeth Hayley. Elizabeth Hayley is actually “Elizabeth” and “Hayley,” two friends who love reading romance novels to obsessive levels. They are Rita Award Nominees, and have a release later this year under the James Patterson’s Book Shot imprint. Elizabeth Hayley’s writing motto is best captured by the words of Patrick Dennis: “I always start with a clean piece of paper and a dirty mind.”
When asked which book had the best Swoon-Worthy hero, Elizabeth said Strong Signal by Megan Erickson and Santino Hassell was her favorite from all the books she had in the last year. Apparently, Garrett Reid is totally swoon-worthy in that book.
But who is Garrett? He is a deployed gamer who is playing a game online when his avatar is killed by another, more experienced gamer named Kai. They end up talking online, and a relationship develops. However, what Garrett doesn’t know is that Kai is an agoraphobic who never leaves his apartment. So when Garrett returns home and surprises Kai, Kai slams a door in his face. But Garrett is patient (and so hot it’s insane) so Kai eventually lets him in and they get lost in one another. The plot twists when Garrett is forced to take a job out of state and Kai needs to decide whether or not he can face his fears in order to be with Garrett.
If that isn’t enough to make you swoon, how about these;
*Built like a brick house
*Tender and patient
*Has a filthy mouth
Victoria Colotta is a coffee addicted blogger and graphic designer obsessed with art and good books. She is currently working on her debut novel, but took some time out of her day to share her pick for which hero is the swooniest!!!
Picking a Swoon-Worthy hero is not easy, but she narrowed it down to Liam Wolfe from Shadow Fall by Laura Griffin. And man, just reading the teasers for this book is getting me all hot and bothered.
Here’s the description; In the ninth romantic suspense novel in the New York Times bestselling Tracers series, author Laura Griffin brings back her elite cadre of forensic experts as they hunt down the most brutal serial killer yet.
Special Agent Tara Rushing arrives at a grisly murder scene and quickly discovers she’s got a serial killer on her hands. The killer is meticulous, making sure to wipe up even the smallest traces of evidence…but the Delphi Center experts are on the case.
The local sheriff has a suspect all picked out—ex-Marine and current security expert Liam Wolfe. Despite all her digging, Tara knows very little about Liam when she shows up at his sprawling Texas compound, which serves as headquarters for Wolfe Securities, and she’s surprised by her intense physical reaction to him.
As she and Liam grow closer, Tara finds herself depending on his skills and expertise to help her track a killer. But when another body turns up, Tara must decide if she can trust the man who’s quickly stealing her heart.
- What makes him so Swoon-Worthy to Victoria is that he is a strong man (physically and mentally) who knows how to handle himself.
- He has wit and sometimes a smart-ass remark (which she loves).
Then, when put with the right woman, he shows a whole new side of him. Also, he falls for a strong, independent woman who can handle herself. “Maybe it is just me, but a man who is not afraid of a strong woman is sexy as hell.”-Victoria
My last guest is Rachel Lacey, a former adventurer turned contemporary romance author who is a huge animal lover. (And BTW, her books are adorably addictive!) Plus, her covers are so freaking beautiful, the cover whore in me has to collect them all.
Rachel picked Jonah Baudouin from Marina Adair’s Need You for Keeps as her Swoon-Worthy pick, and as I have this book waiting for me on my shelf, it makes me itch to sit down and read it!
In the book, Shay Michaels would do anything for the furry residents of St. Helena, California, but her dedication to her foster pets keeps landing her on the wrong side of the law. Deputy Jonah Baudouin’s job is to uphold the law, but he wants to kiss her more than he wants to arrest her, and soon Jonah and Shay are in over their heads with love and trouble!
I love romances featuring a man in uniform (if you can’t tell from most of my books). So, what are the sexy sheriff’s swoony qualities, Rachel?
- He’s protective. Rachel has always had a soft spot for a hero in uniform, too, and Jonah didn’t disappoint. He’s strong and oh so protective of Shay, even when she doesn’t want to need him.
- He fosters an adorable kitten named Kitty Fantastic (because Shay asked him to of course), and is confident enough in his manhood to proudly carry Kitty Fantastic through town in the pet parade. I mean…
- He’s got that grouchy, badass attitude going on that’s just ahhh…so sexy!
Until next week my lovelies, answer me this…
