What are your five favorite movies with romance or romantic elements?

Gone with the Wind

Singing in the Rain

Anchors Away (yes, I LOVE Gene Kelly)

French Kiss

The Princess Bride

Describe your favorite scene from each one (you can include a Youtube clip if you want as well).

I absolutely love when Rhett sweeps Scarlett off her feet and carries her up the stairs.

My favorite scene is when they first meet and she rescues him from the screaming fans.

I love the part when Frank Sinatra is talking to the girl from Jersey just like him.

The best and funniest part of this movie is when Meg Ryan is spying on Timothy Hutton and falls over the dessert cart.

There’s no way I can pick a favorite scene from Princess Bride. It’s inconceivable!

What are your five favorite movies with romance or romantic elements?

Wow, let’s see…  Off the top of my head, I’d say Dracula Untold, Safe Haven, Sweet Home Alabama, Robin Hood (the Kevin Costner version), and The Princess Bride.  ( I also love The Quiet Man with John Wayne and Sabrina with Harrison Ford.)

Describe your favorite scene from each one (you can include a Youtube clip if you want as well).

I liked the whole movie, but I particularly love the final scene in Dracula Untold where Vlad finds Mina and recites the poem.  The whole scene speaks to me.  How he’s held her in his heart all those centuries.  The way he looks at her.  As if he’s in awe, as if he’s suddenly found his soul.  And as they walk off, the moment is filled with possibility and danger.  Like their story is only just beginning.

In Safe Haven, I like the scene where they get a ride home in the police car, and Alex pushes Katie up against the tree and kisses the daylights out of her.  You can see she’s finally really letting go of her past and actually beginning to look toward the future with hope.  Besides, come on!  Josh Duhamel is sexy as all get out in that scene!
