EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT: Claim Me Hard by Vanessa Vale

Running from her past, Dr. Hannah Winters is afraid it just might catch up with her. But when Cole and Declan, two Montana cowboys, decide they want to make her theirs, she might just want to be caught.

Warning: Panty melting! Claim Me Hard is book 2 in the wildly dirty series where two obsessed alpha cowboys meet their Type-A heroine. This standalone HEA is all about her – no M/M.

I was the first one up the next morning and I was glad to have the privacy. Ever since Hannah told us her story the night before, I’d been dying to do a little digging and see what I could find out about the asshole who had her running scared. The best way to beat an opponent was to know where he was coming from and how he thought.

What I found made my stomach turn. A military guy through and through, someone like Lieutenant Colonel Bradley S. Madison was bound to have connections. I was amazed he hadn’t found Hannah by now, only proving how under-the-radar our girl had gone. No credit cards. No ATMs, no cell phone. Nothing to make a blip on any searches. Until yesterday.

With her first and middle name in the local paper, it was just a matter of time. At least we knew what was coming. I’d spread the word to Jessie, Sally and Violet Kane. They’d take it from there and the entire town would know to keep an eye out for a stranger, and on Hannah. If we were lucky, Brad would have moved on from this obsession—but I wasn’t about to count on that.

EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT: Flirting with the Law by Vanessa Vale

flirting with the law
Chasing the infamous Black Widow, they may be the ones getting caught.

Maddie didn’t want to be an outlaw, but fate forced her hand. Now she’s known as the Black Widow, the wild and deadly leader of a group of women fugitives. The law has hunted them before, but Maddie can’t walk away from her new life until justice is served.

Jackson and Seth are experienced U.S. Marshals. Bringing in a rag-tag group of women outlaws should be easy. But one look at Maddie and everything changes. Right and wrong, lust and duty blur along the edges as these two rough cowboys discover the truth about Maddie’s dark past and fall in love.

A new series with two heroes! Who doesn’t love a cowboy…or two? This steamy MFM historical romance is ALL about the woman. Check out an exclusive excerpt below!

“You don’t even know my name,” I replied, turning my head slightly. Mr. Bane was right there. I could see the hard line of his jaw, just the hint of whiskers, his full lips, his pale eyes that held humor and heat. I couldn’t help but breathe in his clean, male scent before he took his seat again.

I’d recovered from choking on my water, but not as much from their topic of conversation, or his nearness. I couldn’t believe the, well, gall of these two. Their boldness. I didn’t let them respond, just kept right on talking. “We’ve just met, not even thirty minutes ago and you want to marry me?”

Guest Post: Movies That Made Vanessa Vale a Romance Fan

Ride Me Dirty Vanessa Vale
  1. A Room With A View– LOVE this movie. It’s set pre-WWI England and getting kissed is serious business. So a stolen kiss is life changing. And the ending… God, I want to go to Florence and have a room with a view with the hero.
  1. Romancing The Stone– Cheesy 80’s, but the plot is quintessential romance novel. It follows the W plot outline and is perfect to use as a guide to write from.
  1. Sixteen Candles– Yes, I’m of the age where Jake Ryan was the BOMB. The hair, the plaid shirt, the Porsche. Again, the ending? I was 13 at the time and I dreamed of a guy doing that for me for my 16th birthday. I still am!!
  1. Dirty Dancing– Again, I’m showing my age, but in high school, this was hot stuff. I related to Baby because I couldn’t dance to save my life (I still can’t), but she won Patrick Swayze. Oh yeah.

I’m seeing my trend is all set in the 80’s. Yikes! But they’re classics and as I watched them as a teenager, set my path toward romance. What are your favorite romance movies?

Vanessa Vale is the USA Today bestselling author of over thirty books, sexy romance novels, including her popular Bridgewater historical romance series and hot contemporary romances featuring unapologetic bad boys who don’t just fall in love, they fall hard. When she’s not writing, Vanessa savors the insanity of raising two boys, is figuring out how many meals she can make with a pressure cooker, and teaches a pretty mean karate class. While she’s not as skilled at social media as her kids, she loves to interact with readers.

Guest Post: Vanessa Vale of FIGHT FOR HER on Summer vs. Winter

Fight For Her Vanessa Vale

The Vale household is divided! I like summer. The hot weather, sunshine, pools, green grass, flowers. Sundresses. So does Vale child #2. My husband and Vale child #1 like winter. They like skiing and bundling up. Snow. They’d rather be cold and turn the heater on than be hot and turn on the AC. The compromise should be spring, a little of both. In the Wild West where we live, winter always wins. April is the 2nd snowiest month and it’s a hot mess (and I don’t mean it’s warm). I’m ready for flowers and Easter dresses and yet I’m still slogging around in boots and my puffy coat. There’s only one answer to this: Hawaii. It’s never too hot or too cold. It’s just right… all the time. My winter/summer family agrees, so we should move. As I look out the window right now and see it snowing, I’m considering packing my bags.

Are you a fan of summer or winter? Both?
